Jersey Rumors and Changes

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be retiring their baby-blue third jerseys after this season. They will have a new third jersey for the 2010-2011 season.

The Calgary Flames recently announced that the vintage jersey introduced this year for their 30th  anniversary will be their third for the 2010-2011 season.

Washington Capitals owner, Ted Leonsis, stated on his blog that the Capitals will wait at least another season to get a third jersey. Leonsis doesn't want to introduce a third because there would be little revenue generated due to the current economy.

Toronto will be making minor changes, adding a white stripe to the bottom of their jerseys.

The Nashville Predators will be getting new sweaters for the upcoming season. The uniforms could have a completely different color scheme than what is being used now.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will have a tenth anniversary third jersey for next year. The jersey will have a new logo, most likely to be a cannon.

There have been a few rumors the Blues will have new jerseys for the 2010-11 season.

Buffalo will be getting rid of the "slug" logo. The current third jersey could be promoted to a full-time home jersey and the Winter Classic jersey that was used against the Penguins in 2008 could become their road sweater.

The Vancouver Canucks' orca logo is unfavorable with the fans because it does not represent the city of Vancouver or the Canucks. The fans would like to see a green third, possibly with the stick-in-rink logo. The fans are also hoping for a jersey with the Johnny Canuck logo.

The Ottawa Senators might make a change to their third, replacing 'SENS' with an O.

New York Rangers fans would like to see a return of the lady liberty jerseys.
